MacLean AllanMACLEAN, Allan "Max" Dickenson Grace  - December 6, 1941 in St. Catharines, ON - December 14, 2018 in Collingwood, ON

Max's friends are sad to announce the passing of our dear friend.

This is his obituary in his own words.

A lifetime full of friends. Growing up in Hamilton at Central Public, Ryerson Senior Public and Westdale Secondary schools; over the same period at the family cottage at Red Bay on Lake Huron; new people from other places in Canada and the USA.

More new friends from everywhere at Wilfrid Laurier where the credo was fun and somehow we figured it out.

Many became lifelong friends and we often reflect on the impact of the school and how it helped all of us achieve our successes; 38 years at the Ford Motor Co. retiring as Director of Labour Relations, wonderful people both Canadian and American who I had the pleasure of meeting and associating with and who provided levity and support under difficult circumstances; 40 years at my "handyman special" cottage in Honey Harbour and the many wonderful people met along the way at local social events (many), boating on Georgian Bay and becoming a charter member of the Honey Harbour Hummers R&R band; about 50 years in Collingwood where I ultimately retired in 2000. Skiing, tennis and golf...many old friends showed up and new friendships grew.

The fun never stopped...focal point The Toronto Ski Club. Thank you all...you were my family, Max A celebration of Max's life will held in Collingwood in the Spring of 2019 on a date yet to be set.
