Robertson ShirleyROBERTSON, Shirley Pearl (nee JOHNSON)  - Passed away peacefully in the early hours of the morning, on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Victoria Hospital, London, with her husband and niece Lana at her bedside.

She was predeceased by her children Bridgett and Neil and is survived by husband Herbert Robertson in London, granddaughters Christine Robertson and husband Matt in Florida and Sarah Whyte and partner Herman with great-grandchildren Thayne and Eden all in South Africa, nieces Denise Ryback with husband Phillip and children Merle with husband Ray and Lana Wright, brother-in-law Godfrey and partner Pat all in Canada, sister Elain, sister-in-law Maureen and husband Johaan with children Cleve with wife Hayley and children Lameez and husband Gavin and children and sister-in-law Zoe Johnson, all in South Africa.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Leaving South Africa in her twenties with her husband, they spent a few years in England before finally coming to Canada and residing in London for more than 50 years. She had multiple jobs over that time, most notably 15 years at Victoria Hospital cleaning and prepping instruments for surgery.

Shirley was very social and an active member of the community. She loved to dance, sing and take part in senior centre events through volunteering. She also played badminton in her younger years and was married for 58 years.

A memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life will take place at 11:30 a.m. at All Saints' Church, 249 Hamilton Rd., London, Ontario, on December 22, 2018.
