HAMMER, Dorothy Mae (nee PROVOST) - August 19, 1923 - December 19, 2018
Dorothy was born in Long Branch, ON, one of five sisters and a younger brother Harry.
She moved to Walkerton in her early twenties where she met John Jacob Hammer at a military function.
They were married in the Walkerton Baptist Church and then settled in Neustadt, ON.
Dorothy's life changed as she transitioned from living in Toronto to a small village where she partnered with John to raise their family of four children.
Cherished mother of Sandra (Robert), Janis (deceased), husband Bob, John Hammer, and Bruce (Sue). Grandmother to Sarah, Matthew and Justin (Ali), and bonus great-grandmother to Keean and Scarlett.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Dorothy's life on Saturday, January 19th at Avenue Road Baptist Church, 465 Avenue Road, Cambridge, ON. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until 3 o'clock. Donations can be made to Avenue Road Baptist Church or Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
