Cara RoccoCARA, Rocco - (1944 - 2019) - Loving husband, father and grandfather; Rocco Cara passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2019 with his wife and son by his side.

He will forever be greatly missed and remembered by his wife Flori (Grace), his son Diego, daughter-in-law Heather, and grandchildren Luca and Gioia.

His extended family of Caras and Chiarantanos including his sister-in-law Catherine, brother-in-law Domenic, niece Mary and family; stepchildren Leanne and partner Dave, Paul and his wife Jennifer, and their children Ben and Avery.

Rocco was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy and followed his heart to Canada where he married the lovely Immacolata (Marilyn) Chiarantano; together they raised their cherished son Diego.

Rocco worked hard to make a good life for himself and his family in Toronto. Working in the construction trade he formed strong bonds with his “paesani” and his wife’s family throughout those years. Following the passing of his first wife, he forged a new life with partner (wife) Grace. Together they took on the role of proud grandparents celebrating with their families all life’s special moments.

Visitation at Ward funeral home, Woodbridge chapel, on Sunday, January 13th from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm. Funeral service at the funeral home on January 14th at 11:0 a.m. Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery, North York.

Rocco, as we continue to journey through this life together, you will never be far from our thoughts and hearts.
