JONES, Walter Stanley - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our quiet, strong and passionate patriarch, Walter Stanley Jones. Walter passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday January 15 at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington.
All of sudden, he is young again - dancing a jig and sharing a laugh with his pre-deceased wife; and our loving Nan and mother - Cassie Jones.
Born in the small town of Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland; he left Newfoundland early in life to find work in Ontario - but Newfoundland never left his heart.
Mourned by his children: Kevin (Linda) and Brenda (Aniela), his Grandchildren: Troy, Sean (Sonia) and Tanya (Thomas) and his great grandchild: Emmett.
Visitation will be held at Brampton Funeral Home, Brampton on January 17th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The service will take place in the chapel on January 18th at 11:00 AM. Interment at Brampton. A reception will follow at the condominium, 30 Malta Ave Brampton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to your charity of choice are welcomed.
