Shaw KarenSHAW, Karen Patricia - (September 5, 1957January 14, 2019) - 

On Monday, January 14th, 2019, Karen Patricia Shaw passed peacefully at the age of 61, at Southlake Regional Health Centre.

Karen was born on September 5th, 1957 to Alvin and Beverley (Gaston) Robinson. She grew up surrounded by love, from her two older sisters, Wendy and Eleanor and was the proud big sister to younger brother Terry.

Karen held motherhood as her highest achievement with her three children, David, Jodi and Brian.

Karen had a passion for cooking and prided herself in always having enough for everyone. She enjoyed Sunday night dinners with family and always enjoyed hosting social events, often no special occasion required. She was known for her personal strength, her adoration of family, and her giving and compassionate spirit.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Bev, her son Brian and daughter Jodi, and her husband Gary.

She is survived by her sisters Wendy, Eleanor and brother Terry, her son David, her four grandchildren, Leah, Ethan, Carter and Bailey, many other family members and friends.

Visitation for Karen will be held on Saturday, January 19th from 12 - 1 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, Ontario. A Memorial Service will begin at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with a reception to follow.
