GRUPPUSO, Francesco - August 2, 1939 (Vita, Trapani, Sicilia) – January 15, 2019 (Toronto, Ontario) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francesco Gruppuso on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
He was the beloved husband of Francesca, cherished father of Vincenza (Tom Goldbach), Crocetta (Chris Andrikakis), Leonardo (Anna Mazzucco), and Maria Grazia (Michael Gallicchio), and doting grandfather to Leanne, Samuel, Marc, Eric, Luc, Matthew, and Max.
He also leaves to mourn, his sister, Giacoma (Vito Spatafora), brothers-in-law Antonino (Giuseppina Accardi), Salvatore (Caterina Accardi), and Leonardo Craparotta, as well as many treasured nieces and nephews, and dear friends both in Canada and Italy.
He will be remembered always for his strong love for his family, his generosity, his willingness to dare to dream and his commitment to the necessary hard work, and his glass-half-full attitude even in the face of life’s trials and challenges.
He leaves behind many beautiful memories, and a strong legacy from which to learn, grow, and live. We will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home, Toronto on Friday, January 18th, 2019 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 9:00pm. The service will take place at St. Jane Frances Roman Catholic Church, 2747 Jane St., Toronto on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at 11:00am.
