PARKINSON, R. Elgin, P. E. - June 25 1932 - Jan 15 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the death of Elgin, dear husband of Jean Arscott, father of Bruce, (Laurie), Mary Ann Bowman, Ross Parkinson (Carolyn).
He is the grandfather to Kevin Bowman, Kelly Bowman, Danielle Parkinson and Jake Parkinson.
Elgin is the son of Robert and Annie Parkinson (deceased) of Snelgrove, Ontario (Parkinson Coach Lines).
He is brother to Margaret Purdon (deceased) and Joanne Wilson.
Elgin graduated from University of Toronto in Chemical Engineering in 1953.
He was employed in the petroleum industry (Texaco and Esso). He had a love of cottaging with his extended family at Zumrud Island on Gloucester Pool.
He had a great interest in boating (Gatehouse) on Georgian Bay.
We will miss him very much.
Cremation has taken place. Private interment and service at a later date.
