Sword FrankSWORD, Frank  - It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dearly loved father, Francis Herbert Sword on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario.

Survived by his loving wife and life partner, Barbara Jean (Young) for almost 65 years, his daughters, Karen (Michael), Kathi (David), proud Poppa to Ryan and Lanie and a wonderful group of cousins.

Frank was born in Toronto on January 25, 1932.

He grew up in Swansea where he met the love of his life at the water fountain in kindergarten.

They raised Kathi and Karen living in the wonderful community of Markland Wood. Frank had many interesting work experiences including working on the Avro Arrow project in his early career to owning his own business, Sweeney Design, with Barbara.

He enjoyed giving back to the community including being a Scout Leader, several church committees at Bloordale United Church and he was very involved with the Community Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) at 22 Division for 15 years, chairing it for several years where he facilitated many new projects and improvements.

Frank was a gentleman, a loving person, a consummate family man who loved his 3 girls dearly and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Thanks to the nurses and doctors in D7 at Victoria Hospital.

A Celebration of Life for Frank will be held at Bloordale United Church on Friday, January 25th at 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or Trillium Health Partners Foundation – Cardiac Health.
