MAKUCH, Andrij - Passed away suddenly on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the age of 62.
Andrij is the beloved son of the late Rev. Ivan and Kateryna Makuch.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters Larisa Makuch and Tania Donahoe and son John Zenon Makuch, brothers Nestor and Stephen Makuch, former spouses Tamara Hrechuch and MaryAnne McAlesse and many friends, co-workers and extended family.
Andrij was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and grew up in Victoria, B.C.
He resided in Edmonton, Saskatoon and for the last 30 years in Toronto, Ontario. Andrij worked as an editor for the University of Toronto in the Slavic studies department where his deep passion for Ukrainian Canadian history allowed him to excel at his job.
Andrij will be remembered for his love of music, playing cribbage, mastery in the kitchen and humor of many kinds.
A visitation will be held at the Cardinal Funeral Home, Annette Chapel, Toronto on Monday from 5-8 pm, with Panakhyda at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held in Edmonton, AB on DATE TBA.
