RAE, James Douglas Jim - Jim Rae, born December 23, 1932, died January 10, 2019 at Credit Valley Hospital.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Douglas Rae and Elma Dodds, being their only child; and by his longtime partner Duncan Sandison.
Many friends and "Cousins by the dozen" will sorely miss Jim.
He was educated in the Toronto school system and at the University of Toronto studying science and arts.
An accomplished pianist he was an Associate of the Toronto Conservatory of Music and had Grade Eight in Music Theory.
After training at the Toronto Teachers' College he was employed for over thirty years in the elementary schools of the North York Board of Education.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 10 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m.
If desired, remembrances may be made to Casey House Hospice or to the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society.
