95, departed this life on Monday January 21, 2019 at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital.
Asuncion was born on March 1st1923 in the Philippines and married to her late husband, Jose Talon, for 60 years.
Asuncion is survived by her childrenMarilou (Alex), Marinel (Alejandro), Ramon (Tess) and Conrado (Myrna).
She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren: Sherwin, Maureen (Michael), Joanne (Dan), Omar, Dianne (Noly),Gerard, Aleksander (Lala), Geoffrey, Margaret, Dave and Jojo (Julie); as well as her 6 great-grandchildren: Lucas, J.M., Logan, Leann, Jasmine and Sophie.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Jose and daughter Maritess (Rolly).
Asuncion is “mommy” and “Lola” to many and everyone she met. She is loved by many nieces, nephews, adopted children and grandchildren. She was a teacher for 34 years at Araullo High School in Manila, Philippines. To this day and throughout the years, she kept in touch with her previous students.
Visitation will be Friday, January 25, at 3-5pm at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home (Scarborough). A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. with a reception after the service.
