Johnston EliseJOHNSTON, Elise Anne (nee Weir)Elise Anne Johnston (nee Weir) passed away unexpectedly at home on February 21st, 2019 in her 68th year.

She leaves her husband of almost 38 years, Greg, her son Matthew (Beth) and daughter Victoria (Adam) and the loves of her life; her three grandchildren Cooper, Ryder and Maisie.

Elise is survived by her mother Iris Davy and sisters Morven, Judith, and Fiona and their families. She was predeceased by her father Iain (2000) and niece Carolyn (2000).

She will be deeply missed by the extended Johnston/Adams clan and her many friends who have supported her over the years.

Although trained as a nurse, Elise’s passion and vocation was being a mother and grandmother. She excelled at this raising two wonderful children and being an attentive and caring nana. While her children were growing up she volunteered in their schools as a reading buddy, helped organize school functions and worked in the library. She also volunteered for a number of years with the Halton Rape Crisis Centre often staffing the 24-hour hot line.

She loved the cottage. Spending time there with family and friends brought her comfort and happiness.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Kopriva Taylor funeral home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville on Wednesday February 27th from 3 to 6 pm.

As expressions of sympathy donations in Elise’s name to Covenant House would be appreciated by the family.
