Schneider IreneSCHNEIDER, Irene Danuta - At age 68, quietly and peacefully departed this life with her loving husband Dennis at her side on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto, ON.

She was born on January 6, 1951 in Jeżów Sudecki in south-western Poland and moved to Canada with her family when she was seven years old.

Irene grew up in Roncesvalles in Toronto’s west end and was an active member in the Polish community. She worked for the city of Toronto for over 25 years in various administrative positions, where she made countless life-long friends and companions.

Irene was an avid gardener and could not wait for spring to return each year so she could nurture the beautiful garden she so lovingly kept. Her life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, Irene was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her father Józef Pochwalowski.

Irene is survived by her faithful husband Dennis Miller, her caring mother Stanislawa Pochwalowska, loving children Kathryn Rocca and Jeremy Schneider, her supportive siblings Kathy Byczko and John Pochwalowski, her two beautiful grandsons Markus and Ryan Rocca and her adoring niece Jane Czpran.

Her beautiful life is remembered with love by her stepchildren Derek, Dale, Brent and Joanne and stepgrandchildren Jordan, Ben, Paige and Ella, and a host of devoted family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 22, 2019 at All Saints Kingsway Church, 2850 Bloor St. West, Toronto, ON with Reverend Patrick McManus and Reverend Brian Suggs officiating.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by the palliative care staff of St. Joseph’s Health Centre and the love and support of All Saints Kingsway.
