COLLYMORE, Carmen Lucille  -  At age 98, of Toronto, was ushered from time into eternity on March 12, 2019, with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Amy and Mortimer Yearwood, January 2, 1921, in St. Lucy, Barbados.
She married the late Ivan Collymore in 1956, and they lived together in London, England for ten years before relocating to Toronto, Canada.

Carmen is survived by three children: John Collymore; Juanita Edwards; and Ivan Collymore. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Jey-son Edwards, Kimberly and Lawrence Collymore; and three great-grandchildren; Marshall Edwards; Eric Edwards and Cole Cobham.

Carmen was predeceased by her loving husband in 2012.

Carmen enjoyed a rewarding career as an elementary school teacher with the Toronto District School Board often teaching more than one generation of children. Carmen was an accomplished seamstress, quilt and rug artist, donating quilts and handmade rugs to many charities and her church. She passed her appreciation of art and creativity to all her children. Carmen was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

Viewing ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home Eglinton Chapel, 1812 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto, ON. The Funeral Service will take place on March 22, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Martins-in-the-field Church, 151 Glenlake Avenue, Toronto, ON. The burial will take place at 1 p.m. at St. Philips Anglican Church Cemetery.
