Aguiar Luis CletoAGUIAR, Luis 'Cleto' Nicolau - With great sadness we announce that Luis Cleto Nicolau Aguiar (1943 - 2020) passed on Monday, October 26th, 2020 in Toronto, Canada.

His was a life dedicated to making people smile both on the inside and out. His giving nature was worn on his sleeve and felt by all in his path.

Cleto was born in Goa, India and he grew up Bombay. As a teenager he painted altar cloths for Churches, created oil paintings and was a singer in jazz bands. He was gifted in both, the visual and musical arts - something he practiced throughout his life.

He moved to Kuwait as a young man where he worked for several airlines while singing in his own band - The Hot Sands. He met his beautiful wife Maggie thereafter and had a son, Colin. They immigrated to Toronto, Canada where they made their home until he passed.

Cleto was someone who loved people. All he met instantly felt his thoughtfulness, humility and passion. He had a wide, ready smile and always carried an enthusiasm to gleam someone with his art or sing you a song - all with a twinkle in his eye. The friends he made, were friends for life.

He was a devout Catholic, who enjoyed a deep connection and love for God. He outdid himself as the ultimate of thoughtful fathers, and was the best friend and love of her life to his wife.

He is deeply loved and missed, and his memory is cherished by all.

Arrangements with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Scarborough chapel.
