DIEHR, Noreen Mildred - With heavy hearts the family of Noreen Diehr announces her passing at Lakeside Long Term Care on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at the age of 87.

Now reunited with her late son Paul Jude Tapsall; Noreen was the beloved mother of Luke and his wife Meena. Cherished grandmother to Paul Henry Tapsall and dear sister to Lawrence Noronha and his wife Helen.

Noreen was born May 29, 1933 in Kolkata, India and lived a good childhood. She was very smart from a young age and graduated from university with a degree in history.

As an adult she loved to travel and her career as a travel consultant allowed her to visit many places including Africa as well as Rome which she visited 10 times.

Noreen was a very social person who loved to entertain and be surrounded by those she loved. Her social nature was also a kind nature, spending time helping the aged in the Parkdale neighbourhood. When she decided to move into a seniors residence herself, their was no question what neighbourhood she wanted to be in.

She was loved by the nurses and staff at Lakeside LTC and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service will take place at the Ridley Funeral Home, Etobicoke on Thursday, October 29th at 10:00am. Cremation to follow.

In memory of Noreen, a kind smile to a stranger would be appreciated.
