CHIN, Wilfred Yung Sue - August 12, 1923 – October 21, 2020 -
The family of Wilfred Chin is heartbroken to announce his passing on October 21, 2020 at the age of 98 years.
Lovingly remembered and forever cherished by his devoted wife, Irene, and their children: Phillip (Ellen), Allan (Pat), Michael (predeceased by Michelle), Peter, and Angela (Tom).
Dear grandfather of Andrew, Wardy, Alana (Ed), and James; great grandfather of Tristen.
Our parents were reunited when Wilfred and their two sons, Phillip and Allan, emigrated from China to Jamaica in 1958. With the support of her brother Leslie Hew and his family in Jamaica, Irene, expecting their third child, had arrived earlier in Jamaica in 1952 and Michael was born the following year. The family grew to seven with the addition of Peter and Angela, also born in Jamaica.
In 1978, Wilfred and Irene sold their business and property and left their island home for Canada.
He will be missed by his family for his spirited personality, his cooking, and the sounds of him playing banjo or his electric keyboard.
Dad, thank you for everything; we love you.
