EMERSON, Irene - Mrs. Irene Emerson, 98, passed away on December 26, 2020, after a brief hospitalization.
Irene was born on April 26, 1922, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to Emma and Henry Woodside.
After emigrating in 1925, she spent much of her life in Toronto.
Married to Bill Emerson, she had three children: Maureen, Mary-Jane, and Craig.
Passions have included horseback riding, bridge, tennis, and her many friendships. Family, which had grown to include 8 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren, was most important.
Irene was a strong and very independent woman with a great sense of humour.
She will be missed every day.
