Deslyn “Jackie” Moore a Rosignol Village resident of Berbice, Guyana was born on January 9th, 1959 to Rachel and Charles Adonis. The third youngest of 10 siblings. In her youth she attended Rosignol Public School and eventually left Berbice, Guyana to set on a new dream of beginning a new life in Canada.

Deslyn then attended Humber College to study Office Administration and to her success and hard work, she went off to work for one the leading technology companies, Bell Microprouducts Inc.

Deslyn was a compassionate woman who always looked to the positive side. As an avid Christian she always practiced what was preached. Deslyn was an active member and volunteer of the March of Dimes Canada and Heart and Stroke Foundation for several years.

Aside from her active charity work she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, baking, and always enjoying a good laugh.

Deslyn leaves behind her husband of 39 years Allan, her daughters Melessa, Ticona, and Rayshanda and her grandchildren Marcus, Zehara, Maleigha and Mariah. Her siblings Janet, Diane, Pauline, Coleen, Bibi, Jean, Ida, and Roxray, her sisters- and brothers-in-law Monica, Keith, Terry, Barbara, and lastly her many nieces and nephews from the respective families.
