Barton SharonBARTON, Sharon Lynn - November 20, 1944 - January 16, 2021 - It is with heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Sharon Lynn Barton who left this world on January 16, 2021.

She is resting peacefully now and free from the troubles her advanced Alzheimer’s was causing her.

Sharon will be missed by her sons, Dean McKay (Irene Hagedorn) and Scott McKay (Ramona Coolen), her grandchildren, Lindsey (Spencer Pearson), Tyson, Kurtis, Parker, Anise, Elyia and Simeon and her great granddaughter Sadie.

Sharon was born in Toronto, Ontario on November 20, 1944. She is the daughter of the late Arthur and Lulu Barton and we know she will be happy to be reunited with her parents.

She is survived by three brothers, Brian (Madeline), Wayne (Jan) and Eric and is joining her late brother Bob (the late Elanor) in heaven.

In her retirement years Sharon spent many a day volunteering at the Lindsey Hospital.

Her love for her family was so apparent…all one had to do was look at all the photographs that were on the walls of her home.

Sharon spent her last few years residing at Oshawa Extendicare and the family would like to thank all the staff for taking such good care of her.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada (In memory/tribute donation - Alzheimer Society of Canada) in memory of Sharon.

Due to COVID restrictions the funeral service will be held at a later date and may be live-streamed via the funeral home.
