Xanthopoulou MagXANTHOPOULOU, Magdalini - It is with a heavy heart of sadness, that we announce the passing of Magdalini on Tuesday March 2, 2021 in her daughter's arms at home, surrounded by her loving family, after a three week courageous battle against Alzheimer's disease.

Magdalini was Born August 18, 1933 in Dipotamos, Kavala, Greece to Vasilios and Despina Stratilatis.

Beloved wife of the late John Xanthopoulos.

Loving mother of Paul, Nickolaos, Despina, Steve and Bill.

Cherished mother-in-law of Jennifer, Angelos and Ginette.

Proud grandmother to Johnathan, Nicola, Madelene, Olivia, Zoe and Liam.

Magdalini is survived by her brother Kyriakos Stratilatis. Also survived by her sister in laws Maria Stratilatis, Eleni Koukouselis and Simela Emmanouelidis and brother-in-law Haralambros Emmanouelidis.

Magdalini will be deeply missed by generations of family and friends both in Canada and in Greece. Magdalini will be forever remembered by her contagious smile that brightened the day of those who encountered her.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral services for Magdalini will be a private family affair not open to the public. We thank all of you for your Sympathy and support during these difficult times, and hope we can all gather to celebrate her life in the future.
