GAYLE, Astley "John" - At 88 years old, Astley "John" Gayle passed away on March 2, 2021, at his home in Brampton, Ontario.
He was born on February 12, 1933 in Westmoreland, Jamaica.
John was the devoted husband of Salome (née Haughton), with whom he built a large, loving family.
He was an industrious man with an unwavering sense of justice.
He also loved to laugh.
He will be deeply missed by his five children Beverly (Sylburn), Lola, Archie (Margaret), Willy (Maxine), and Sharna (Wesley); by his ten grandchildren Mark, Wendy, Andrew, Michael, Steven, Jaren, James, Jermaine, Jayson, and Joshua; by his four great-grandchildren Jordan, Nicole, McKenna, and Jacob; by his two great-great-grandchildren Jahsai and Sevyn; by his siblings and extended family in Canada and Jamaica; and by his friends.
