Spencer RobertSPENCER, Robert Landon 'Bob' - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Landon Spencer on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the age of 86.

Bob, as many called him, was also known as Robert, Landon, Don, Ster, Spence, Dad and Granddad. He was a devoted husband to Norine for over 63 years.

Loving father of Pam and her husband Juergen, Paula and her husband Stephen, and Sandy and her husband Mark.

 

Proud Granddad to Brad (Jenna), Michelle, Adam (Carley), Diane, Rob and Ewan.

He is survived by his brothers, Garth and Derwin, his sister-in-law, Margaret, and his nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by all of his family and his many friends.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, George and Edith Spencer, and his in-laws, Charles and Beatrice Trotman.

Bob was born in Toronto on May 23, 1934, attended Humberside Collegiate and is an engineering graduate of University of Toronto.

He and Norine settled in Scarborough in 1960 where his career included working at Colgate Palmolive and ended as Manager of computer services for the City of York Board of Education.

They enjoyed numerous travels around the world and their family get-togethers. As a huge sports fan, Bob continued to stay active in recent years by curling and lawn bowling, as well as cheering on his beloved Toronto Argonauts. He was an active member of Knox United Church in Agincourt until his passing.

Bob made a positive impact on so many over the years.

Due to current restrictions, a private family funeral is to be held Monday, March 15th. Arrangements entrusted with Ogden funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's name to The Scott Mission or the Yonge Street Mission.
