Robson BobROBSON, Robert 'Bob' - (August 22, 1926 to March 4, 2021) - A closing chapter to a long and happy life.

Unexpectedly on March 4th, 2021, Bob passed away in his sleep at the Trillium Health Centre after a sudden heart condition became apparent.

Bob was proceeded in 2003 by his loving wife and companion (59 years), Shirley Emily Robson (Flack) and his brother Roy; A brother to sisters Margret and Jessie. A proud and devoted father to Nancy Tonkin (Robson), son John (spouse Maria). The lights of his life were his granddaughters, Taryn and Rachel.

Bob was in the Army in his teenage years, and worked at General Electric as a Customs Broker for more than 48 years. Upon retiring he started his own Customs Brokage business operating for many years into his retirement.

Bob spent his final years in his house living on his own until a week before his passing this day in March 2021. He loved and was loved by his friends and especially his neighbours. Bob always had a kind word, a corny joke and time to talk to all who knew him.

Bob was a dedicated charter member of the Etobian Gyro Club, a fraternity of friendship of which their Etobian Charter he helped start and maintain from 1972 until his passing.

Bob will truly be missed.

Arrangements entrusted with Skinner & Middlebrook funeral home,  Mississauga. Mr. Robson’s immediate family will be holding a private service (due to COVID considerations). It is the family’s intention to have a memorial service at a later date, when the current health situation improves, and social gatherings are not an issue.

If desired a contribution can be made to Covenant House or the Scott Mission in Toronto. Bob was a strong believer in helping the less fortunate when he could, and this would be appreciated by the family.
