Christopher ThomasCHRISTOPHER, Thomas Michael   - Born in Buffalo, New York, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly, on March 12, 2021, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 79.

He was many things including a Loving Father, Proud Papa, musician, antique hunter and die-hard Buffalo Bills, and Blue Jays fan.

Tom is survived by his son Kevin (Candy), daughter Maura (Bob), son Daniel (Stacey), sisters Anita (Archie), Mary-Jane (Don), his niece Lisa (Kevin), nephew (Michael), former wife Mary (Anthony), and all his loving grandchildren, Julia, Carter, Ava, Declan, and Cooper. He will be lovingly remembered by family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Angelo Christopher and Rosina Tedesco.

Tom was proud of his Italian-Buffalonian roots. He moved to Canada to pursue his Master's in Social Work at St. Patrick's College in Ottawa.

 

It was during this time that he became engaged to Mary Adams the mother of his three beloved children.

He began his career in social work with Children's Aid and continued his career as an educator at Humber College where he influenced and positively impacted many students and colleagues over his tenure at the school.

A special thank you to his dear friends and the community at the Robinson Street, Jean and Howard Caine March of Dimes building, where he lived out the last 7 years of his life.

His time there was filled with joy, friendships, and the ability to live independently and with dignity. He had room in his heart for everybody and was loved by all.

Arrangments with The Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, Oakville, Ontario, on Thursday, March 18th. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitation is by appointment only.   Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19th at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Ontario. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, you must register to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to March of Dimes (Gregory Gittings Better Living fund) www.marchofdimes.ca.
