Devoted and beloved husband to the late Ethel Sum Cooper (z"l).

Dear son of the late Abraham (z"l) and Clara (z"l) Cooper.

Brother and brother-in-law to Warren and Gail Cooper and the late Gerald (z"l) and Kathryn (z"l) Cooper.

Loving father to Anthony, Rachel and Toba, and loving father-in-law to Noah Schachter.

Proud Popi to Jaxson and Ethan.

Cat dad to Max and Mo. Loyal friend. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Michael loved and cared for Ethel (z"l) over the 34 years of their marriage and was a romantic until her last days. He was proud to watch Anthony grow up and develop into the man that he is. He was also proud that he raised two strong, independent, loving daughters.

Michael was the best Popi to Jaxson. He was so pleased that he got to hold Ethan.

Thank you to Sunnybrook's Complex Malignant Hematology teams on D4, C606 and K3C for their kind and generous attention, and Dr. David Spaner, Dr. Lee Mozessohn, Dr. Shannon Goddard, and the Temmy Latner palliative care team for their excellent care.

Michael selflessly donated blood and plasma 294 times, helping many. His life was prolonged by the generosity of many blood donors. You can also honour his memory by donating a unit of blood and/or plasma.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021

In lieu of flowers, or if you wish to make a donation, Michael humbly requested that they be directed to the Sunnybrook Foundation in support of the Complex Malignant Hematology Program or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation of Canada.
