Luba was born in Luck, Ukraine, (formerly Poland), she had 3 siblings and was the longest living in her family.

She was taken to Germany in 1942 where she lived with 100 girls and worked for 7 years.

She met her husband and married in 1947 then in 1949 they moved to Brasil.

In Curitiba she had a daughter Leocadia in 1965 the family moved to Canada and were sponsored by friends Nina and Bronislaw Dalecki.

Luba worked at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in the cafeteria for 18 years, she retired in 1987 to take care of her grandsons Simon and Robert. She was active until 92 years, then dementia set in.
