Pecoraro MariaPECORARO, Maria Caterina - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Maria (Rina) on April 17, 2021 at the age of 90.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Giuseppe (February 28, 2007).

Loving mother of Elio (Renata), Rosa (Joe) and Teresa (Peter).

Proud nonna of Erica (fiancé Domenico Rosso), Liana, David, Adam, Robert, Eve and Simon.

Our mother leaves us with so many wonderful memories that will forever last in our hearts and minds. Her traditions and values have played such a pivotal role in our lives and will no doubt be carried on through her grandchildren. A virtuoso in the kitchen, she has certainly passed on her cooking and baking talents to her grandchildren, who continue to recreate nonna’s favorites, just the way nonna taught them.

Maria will be fondly remembered by her dear friends at Casa Del Zotto. They shopped, baked and had coffee together, while recounting their own stories as Italian immigrants.

Rest in peace cara Mamma.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2021. If you’d like to attend, please contact Teresa at (647) 381-3180 to schedule a time to visit the family in the funeral home. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Due to COVID-19, all events are restricted to a specified number of attendees. Maria will then be laid to rest with her husband.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Baycrest Hospital Foundation.
