Marquez JessicaMARQUEZ, Jessica Rowena - Age 41, passed away on April 21, 2021, when she lost her battle with cancer.

She was born in the 80's in the Philippines to Vicente and Nora Marquez. She was a sister to Judith, Jeffrey, Jon Vic and Jeremy.

Jessica is survived by her nieces – Julia, Joey, Jessie and nephews Gavin, John, Mathew and Vincent.

Jessica cherished her friends, from grade school to college, from classmates to colleagues. She kept in touch and kept a lot of people close to her heart.

She was a friend to all.

Jessica was single, but she was a second mom to a lot of children especially to Nicole and Natalie. She loved kids. She was also a child at heart – easy to please, loves to play, and of course, easy to forgive.

Jessica was an adventurous traveller. She explored the world and visited places like Japan, Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, to name a few. After years in working in Singapore, she settled in Canada.

Jessica has a knack for sarcasm and half truth jokes. She goes into full extent to prove the validity of her view points. Our family have also though she would make a good lawyer.

Jessica was a self-less person, and had regarded others need above herself. She served and help others to the best of her abilities. Until the end, she proved that she didn’t want to burden anyone.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021.Due to COVID-19 circumstances, this will be an invite only event to fit in as many family members as possible. The service is private.

In lieu of flowers for Jess, I encourage everyone to write on her remembrance wall. To our Filipino families and friends who would like to give to our traditional abuloy, you can e-transfer to my email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
