Degen BarbDEGEN, Barbara - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Degen, 51, on April 23, 2021.

She was born on July 11th, 1969, in Toronto, Ontario, and married the love of her life, Ralph Degen, in 1991, who preceded her in death in 2020.

Barbara is survived by her parents, Suzanne and Joseph Horn; their respective partners, Jim Kanary and Joan Horn; her mother-in-law, Margarete Degen, her sons, Ryan and Michael Degen; their respective partners, Jonathon Zarb and Melissa Da Silva.

Her sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Paul Gee; her brother, John Horn; her sister-in-law, Gabrielle Feldman; her nieces, Sabrina Gee, Kristal Horn, Nicole Horn, and Stephanie Feldman, as well as her great nieces and nephews.

Barbara was often described as kind-hearted and willing to do anything to help others. She deeply loved her family, including her loyal canine companions, and wanted nothing more than for them to be healthy, happy, and loved.

For more than 30 years, Barbara proudly worked at O-I Canada, where she was, and will remain, a deeply respected leader by her colleagues and long-time friends.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered as a daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic building restrictions, visitation and service for Barbara will be private, and by invitation only.
