Pakula RichardPAKULA, Richard - 1951-2021 - At home and in the presence of family and love on April 28, 2021.

Predeceased by parents Henry and Leocadia, brother Zenon (wife Carol), brother-in-law Ted Catton.

Survived by his wife and loving companion of 32 years, Linda Rodegard.

Also survived by sons David and Matthew (Krissy), grandsons Colin and Owen, brothers Edward and Stefan; sisters-in-law Bev, Judy and Dorothy; nieces Laura, Emily and Rebecca; friends Vicki and Kathy; his Boustead girls.

We are bereft at your passing. You gave so much – of joy and now sadness. Your life and your love have made us stronger and wiser, calmer and more secure, and we have been enriched by your care and companionship.

The memories you left us with will one day bring us peace. For your humour, your understanding, your constant support and strength, your steadfastness, your generous heart – so many and more reasons – we are thankful. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for choosing the brownstone.

Dear Richard- a gearhead, a Sherlock and mystery fan, a tinker, a reader, a schmoozer, a west-end guy, appreciator of Cuban style relaxation, a lover of life, a puzzler, a wit, a family man, a complete man.

Gratitude to Dr. Lo and St. Joseph’s oncology team for practicing medicine with hope. Thanks also to the Dorothy Ley Centre, Dr. J and Vlad, Laurel, Natasha, Medina for seeing the person behind the disease.

There will be an autumn service, Richard’s favorite time of year.

In tribute to Richard, please express a kindness to another or donate to any worthy cause.
