MARKOWITZ, Jane Catherine - It is with deepest regret that we inform you of the passing of Jane. On April 28, 2021, Jane passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long struggle with cancer.
Daughter of Jacob Markowitz and Ruth McCullough, and wife of Jerry Apfelbaum.
Jane is survived by brother Thomas Markowitz and son Jordan Sokoloff.
Jane was a dedicated mother and educator.
Beloved by her family and students, she touched thousands of lives and left each one better for it. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation, by invitation only, will be held at Dixon - Garland Funeral Home, Markham on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. The Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday May 4th at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Markham Stouffville Hospital Cancer Clinic or to Grace Anglican Church Markham.
