JEEJEEBHOY, Meherwan (Meher) Nowrojee - Passed peacefully on May 10, 2021 at Toronto's Princess Margaret Hospital.
Meher is survived by his wife Joan, son Cyrus, daughter-in-law Rosemary and grandchildren Jacob and Sophie.
The family would like to thank the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital and the wider University Health Network for the care they provided over Meher's battle with cancer.
Meher, known as Uncle to so many (both family and non-family), arrived on this planet as a WWII refugee in Mussori, India, the youngest child of Nowrojee and Gulbanoo. He attended Grimsby College of Technology in England and later followed his older brother Khursheed to Canada.
Meher was an active volunteer in his community over the years, freely giving his time to school fund raisers, Scouts, St. Clement's Church, Toronto and countless other causes and people.
Meher is remembered as being the most generous of spirits by everyone who knew him.
In honour of his belief in charity, community and giving, the family is requesting donations be made to Princess Margaret Hospital, in lieu of flowers.
