MEDINA, Fatima Medina - 81, passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Long Term Care Home in Scarborough, on Monday, May 10, 2021.
She was the beloved sister and aunt of many and will be missed dearly.
She immigrated to Canada in 1974 from Pakistan, an independent woman, a pioneer.
She worked hard from the day she landed until illness prevented her from doing so and never stopped advocating for other immigrant women.
She had a heart of gold and never hesitated to help those in need, anonymously donating to charity whenever she could. She leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Muslim and Salma Medina of Scarborough, and her sister-in-law Zubeda Medina (Long Island, NY).
She was predeceased by her brother, Mansoor Medina.
Her many cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces will carry on her legacy of giving.
Services were held on Tuesday, May 11th at Masjid Al Saifee in Richmond Hill, followed by burial at Toronto Muslim Cemetery.
