Laskaris AnnaLASKARIS, Anna (nee KATOMILITIS)   - September 14, 1926 - May 17, 2021

With heavy hearts we said goodbye to Anna Laskaris (nee Katomilitis) on May 17, 2021, in her 95th year.

Devoted mother to Charlie, mother-in-law to Theresa, and loving Yiayia to Christopher (Bianca), Michael (Natalie) and Annie (Nathanial).

Loving sister to Nouni and the late Anthony Monioudis of Switzerland and George and Helen Katomilitis of Greece.

Predeceased by her husband Laskaris, her sister and brother-in-law Evangelia and Argiris Zachariou of Greece. Anna cherished her niece and nephews, Helen, Perikles (Dana), Themo (Nitsa), Christopher, and Andrew (Helen).

Anna was proud to serve as a teacher in the Greek Community of Toronto and founded the original Greek schools in Sudbury and North Bay.

Anna was the only woman on the inaugural executive committee of the Canadian Association of the Hellenes from Egypt.

Special thanks to our GP, Dr. House, to all the doctors and nurses at OTMH, and to the PSWs for their devoted care; to the family, friends, and neighbours who pitched in – we can't thank you enough.

In Anna's memory, consider a donation to the Oakville Hospital.
