MASTRANTONI, Francesca - Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday May 24, 2021. She was 90 years old.
Francesca was born on July 11, 1930 in Sora, Frosinone, Italy. Her parents were Giovanni Tomassi and Emilia Petrozzi.
She is predeceased by her brothers, Agostino and Donato.
She is survived by her sister Antonietta and brothers Antonio and Mario. She will be dearly missed by all her extended family.
In 1951, Francesca married Giacomo Mastrantoni. In 1973, Giacomo passed away, leaving Francesca a widow at just 42 years old. In 1976, Francesca set off for a new life in Canada. She found work on the farm and laboured tirelessly into her late seventies.
At the age of 73, Francesca survived breast cancer. She was a true warrior, with a fighting spirit and a profound passion for her family.
Predeceased by her beloved son Romeo. Survived by her loving daughters, Santa (Gino) and Concetta (Domenic) and daughter-in-law Maria.
Francesca will be forever cherished by her grandchildren, Giacomo (Sonia), Laurie (Nelson), Michael (Dini) and Andrea.
She will be forever loved by her adoring great granddaughters, Emilia, Celeste, Aria and Josie.
Francesca was a strong and hardworking woman. She will be forever remembered for her unparalleled generosity and kindness.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Please RSVP in advance for visitation by calling Bernardo Funeral Home. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. A private entombment will follow.
