Gladding ChrisGLADDING, Christine 'Chris' Florence (nee Collett) – It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christine (Chris) Gladding (nee Collett) on May 24, 2021 at her home in Toronto at the age of 73.

A beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She will be missed by her husband of 54 years, Wayne, her daughter Kim (Jason), her son Jeff (Lisa), her grandchildren Jocelyn and Coralie, her sister Mary Lou, and her sister-in-law Dorry.

She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Chris was predeceased by her mother and father, Sylvia and Jim, and her brothers David and Richard.

She was very much like her mother in that she always enjoyed getting her hair done and finding that perfect outfit to maintain her stylish and beautiful appearance. Chris loved looking after children, which she did as a baby-sitter and as a school crossing guard. She loved animals and had several cats and dogs throughout her life. Her dog Happy and her cat Heidi will miss her very much.

Due to current restrictions, no visitation or funeral will be held. A Memorial of Life will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted with Newediuk funeral home.

If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Speaking of Dogs Rescue would be greatly appreciated.
