MCCALLAN, Correne (Carolyn) Orrene - July 23, 1966- June 6, 2021 - Artist, musician, activist and true original spirit. Correne brought love and laughter to everyone who met her and she will be dearly missed. With courage and grace Correne fought a tough battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at her home the way she lived, on her own terms and with dignity.
Correne’s deep love of nature and the environment made her more at home walking in the forest, swimming at Catchacoma or paddling a canoe. Creative, intelligent, and inspiringly funny she was a gentle soul who touched the lives of many.
Daughter of Norman McCallan (deceased) and Barbara Morrow, stepdaughter to David Morrow, sister to Chris McCallan (Lenny Chong) and her life partner, best friend, and soul mate Christopher Barrett.
We would like to thank the outstanding palliative team at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Toronto for their support and care.
Donations would be greatly appreciated to cancer research and to Sea Shepherd Organization.
A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
She was much loved and will be forever in our hearts.
