La Capruccia RobertoLA CAPRUCCIA, Roberto - (1943 - 2021) - Roberto La Capruccia passed away on Saturday June 12th, 2021 peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his dear wife and cherished children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife Ingrid of 47 adventurous and beautiful years.

His children, Tina (Frank), Rita (Tony), Marcello (Valerie), Lorenzo (Viviana) and Tania (Mike), his grandchildren Fabio, Bianca, Giulia, Jesse, Alessandra, Emma, Joel, Aryanna, Khaleesi, Nico and Sienna and his great grand-daughter Emilia.

Robert was born in Italy on December 6, 1943 and immigrated to Canada at the young age of 18. He worked as a barber in Brampton and over the years he had opened up several restaurants, starting with the original Vesuvios on Main street, then Don Valentino and finally Portobello where many wonderful memories were made with family and friends.

Robert has always said he was “The richest man in the world”, this was because of the pride he had for his children and grandchildren. During his long illness he fought the fight of his life for his family and because of this they were able to fulfil their promise to him to reach his “Destination Home” where he passed peacefully surrounded by the wings of his family and the comfort of their embrace just as the lord carried him home.

We can no longer see you with our eyes, touch you with our hands, but we will feel you forever in our hearts. You have left us with beautiful memories, your love is still our guide and you will always be at our side. We love you Robert, the man of our life.

Robert will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all his family, friends and all who knew him.

In loving memory of Robert, donations to the William Osler Health System Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Donations can be made using the links above.

In light of the current global pandemic with the present restrictions placed on group gatherings, the visitation, Mass of Christian Burial and Entombment will be by invitation only. Arrangements and livestream details are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton chapel.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be livestreamed by the church. The live stream will commence at 11:00 am on Thursday June 17, 2021 via the St. Marguerite D’Youville Parish Youtube Channel.   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZysm9ZXZdYHgK7P9OCzx1Q
