Virro ShirleyVIRRO, Shirley Ann (Stacey) - It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Shirley at the age of 86 on June 15, 2021.  She died peacefully with family by her side after a brave battle with cancer.

Loving wife of the late Reginald Rein Virro.

She is loved and will be missed by her children, Michelle and Michael and his wife, Jane and Grandchildren Shea  (Brad), Jennifer  (Josh), David  (Sarah), Kristina (Greg) and Great Nana to Marcus.

Shirley’s life was committed to the most noble of professions - being a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends and keeping busy with as many projects as possible at any given time.

Her artistic talents culminated in beautifully painted artwork … on every surface of her house. She loved interior decorating and gardening and making her home an inviting place to share a meal, a story and a laugh. She saw beauty in nature and loved any stray animal that stepped near her doorstep.  There is no doubt that Shirley lived life to the fullest, leaving each of us with a special place in our hearts where her spirit will live forever.

Special thanks Imelda Segriff for her loving care and to Dr. Andy Patterson and the Markham Stouffville Hospital Palliative Care Team.

Due to Covid, a service will be held for family only.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be directed to the Evergreen Hospice program in Markham Stouffville.
