Oosting TjibbeOOSTING, Tjibbe Joe   - May 16, 1936 - June 21, 2021

With love and sadness, the family of Tjibbe Joe Oosting announces his peaceful passing on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the age of 85.

Joe was born and raised in Munnekeburen, Netherlands.

He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1953 at the age of 16. 

Joe later met our loving mother Grace, and they married in June 1958. They were married for 56 years before Grace's passing in August 2014.

Together they lived, worked, and raised their family in Agincourt, Ontario and enjoyed retirement and their grandchildren in Burlington, Ontario.

Joe had great passion for travelling, gardening, and cycling.

Joe will be remembered for his engagement in life, determination and for his love of family.

His was a life filled with interests, activity, pursuits, and family time.

He was a loving and proud father and adoring grandfather.

The memory of his beaming smile in response to our arrival will be held by us dearly.

Predeceased by his beloved wife A. Grace (nee Kreger). Loving father to Dianne (Steve) Sheppard and Carol (John) Millet.

Cherished grandfather of Kathryn and Sarah Millet and Ryan and Alexandra Sheppard.

Predeceased by siblings Hendrik and Willem, survived by siblings Hans (Anne), Klaasje (Bill) Ness and Johannes (Diane).

Lovingly remembered by the Oosting and Kreger families.

Private services will be taking place. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.

For those who wish, donations in memory of Joe to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
