Carr SusanCARR, Susan Lynn - (March 31, 1962 - July 5, 2021) - It is with profound sorrow and broken hearts that we announce that Susan Carr passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family after a courageous, year-long battle with cancer.

Susan is survived by her mother Rita Carr, her sisters Lisa Fraser (Scott) and Debbie St. Louis (Eric), her sister-cousin Sandy Loserro (Dino), her nieces Bryn Fraser (Jordan), Carling Fraser and Ally St. Louis, her nephew Tanner St. Louis, her great-niece Claire Kondratiuk, and her step-nieces Brittany Milot and Lynnsey St. Louis.

She joins her father, Brian “Bud” Carr at the great afterlife party wearing sparkly angel wings.

Susan will be remembered by her numerous extended family members and many great friends. She will be sorely missed by close friends Mary Healy and Carol Simpson, who were a huge part of her cancer support team (the “Sparkle Crew”).

Susan worked at Blaney McMurtry LLP for 27 years as Human Resources Director. She was extremely well-liked by her colleagues.

Susan felt it was very important to give back to her community. She was a strong supporter of the United Way and thoroughly enjoyed planning events at work to support them. She also volunteered on Sunday mornings at Feed the Hungry.

She loved curling and was a dedicated member of the High Park Curling Club. She enjoyed travelling and sitting on a tropical beach with friends or basking in the sun at the family cottage on unique floaties in Notre Dame du Nord, Quebec. Shopping was her passion — she had outfits for every occasion and loved sharing her clothing with her sisters and nieces. Halloween was her favourite event, which she celebrated with an annual party and shared costumes with all her guests.

We would like to thank the staff on C2, M2 ICU and D4 ICU for the wonderful care she received during her stay at Sunnybrook.

Susan was cremated. A Celebration of Life will happen once COVID rules allow. Arrangements entrusted with Rosar-Morrison funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences or the Beverly-Ann Boros Palliative Care Suite at Temiskaming Hospital are welcome.
