Chong William BillCHONG, William 'Bill' - (January 7, 1956 - July 5, 2021) -

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of this kind and loving soul.

Recently diagnosed with advanced liver cancer, William (Bill) returned home from the hospital to rest and be with his family. He passed peacefully on the morning of July 5, 2021, surrounded by his wife, daughter, and son.

Bill was born in Kaiping, China before arriving in Canada in 1969. Loving and devoted husband of nearly 40 years to his wife, Leely. Proud father to Melody (Marvin), and Kenny (Jesse). Doting Gung-Gung to Lucas and Logan.

Beloved son of his mother, Wui Kwan. Predeceased by his father Tze Chuen. Affectionate brother to Dorothy (Gord), Mary (Mark), and Henry (Marika). Caring uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Bill will be remembered by all those he touched as a warm and generous person who had an easy smile, music flowing through his veins. and who was always ready for the next adventure. An accomplished artist - performance, music, and visual - Bill passionately shared his creativity in ways that gave back to the community, to his family, and to his friends.

He stood as an exemplary father-figure to many in his extended and "adopted" family.

Arrangements and livestream funeral details entrusted with Ogden Funeral Home, Scarborough.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to a charity of your own choice.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at a future date - if you are interested, please contact Melody.
