Cheney ThelmaCHENEY, Thelma Nadine   -  1927 - 2021 In loving memory of Thelma Cheney who passed away peacefully, on July 7, 2021, at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 93.

Daughter of William and Madeline Hillier, born in Kingston, Ontario, and raised above her father's barbershop on Princess Street.

Predeceased by her husband, William Cheney, friend, Alfred Collins, and siblings, Robert, Gilbert, Willard, and June.

She will be forever missed by her children, Pat Pauli (Alan), Brian Cheney (Colleen), Jeff Cheney (Christine), Tom Cheney (Sharon), Karen Cheney, and step-daughter, Colleen Tino (Saverio).

Loved by her grandchildren, Mike, Laura, Brad, Colton, and step-granddaughter, Carly.

Thelma moved many times and lived in five cities in Canada and the United States before the family settled in Oakville in 1968.

Although her family was proud of her many real estate awards, including the Lifetime Award of Excellence, she reinforced her proudest achievement was raising five children after her husband passed away in 1973.

Always, she held true to her values of hard work, honesty and integrity in everything she did. For over 30 years, Thelma lived in her beloved condo on the lake in Oakville, until her recent admission to hospital.

The family is extremely grateful to Anna and Angela who went out of their way to help Thelma on a regular basis, and of course, many thanks to Michael who kept her looking great.

A private family burial service will be held at St. Jude's Cemetery in Oakville.

Memorial donations in memory of Thelma may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
