CRUM, Patricia - The standing ovation begins for our beloved matriarch, Patricia Crum (née Snell), 94, who died peacefully, Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Born in Leamington, ON, on June 30, 1927, Patricia was a Toronto opera darling, performing with the Royal Conservatory of Music (COC), where she met her husband, George Francis Crum Jr. (founding conductor of the National Ballet of Canada).
Her standout roles included the Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), Violetta (La Traviata), Rosina (The Barber of Seville), and Musetta (La Bohème).
She sang the way she lived: with colour, vivacity, and heart.
