Miault FrancesMIAULT, Frances (Francesca) Mary   - 1920 - 2021  At 100 years of age our cherished mom, Nona, great-grandmother and aunt passed away at peace in the late afternoon on August 9, 2021, at the Chartwell Waterford Long Term Care in Oakville.

Frances was born in the East End of Fort William, daughter to Vincenza and Dominic Brescia. During the war she met Leo, fell in love and married in Halifax.

She returned to Thunder Bay and worked a bench manufacturing parts of the spitfire airplanes at Canada Car.

Following the war, they settled in Thunder Bay raising their four children.

Frances is the last of her generation.

She was a gentle, caring, happy woman devoted to her family.

She was generous to a fault, always thinking someone may need what she had more.

To Frances her faith was ever sustaining. She and her family were members of St. Dominic's Church. On retirement Frances and Leo relocated to Mississauga to be close to their children.

Frances was a widow of Leo for many years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Donna, Kenneth (deceased), Denise (Rick) and Leo (Terryl); her grandchildren Kenneth (Andrea), Bruce (Andrea), Melissa, Sara (Gary), Cody, Mason and Maddison; her great-grandchildren Lauren, Luke, Jackson, Kingston, Gunar, Ethan and Jake.

She was loved by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Christina, Rose, Joseph, Freddie and Lloyd.

Our family will be eternally grateful to the staff at the Chartwell Waterford, particularly those who worked on the Bronte neighbourhood, who knew and loved Frances.

She received exceptional care, kindness and good humour.

Any donations can be made to the Chartwell Waterford Resident Council.

There will be a private Celebration of Life in Burlington with a mass and interment at a later date in Thunder Bay.
