Fermanis GeorgeFERMANIS, George - (July 20, 1922 – August 13, 2021)

George Fermanis Sr. was born on July 20th, 1922 in the village of Bouf in Northern Greece.

George was married to his predeceased wife, Thomai, in 1952 and became the proud parents of their twin children, Chris and Frances in 1953.

In search of a better life and opportunities for his family, they all immigrated to the United States in 1967, sponsored by his brother Nick Fermanis. In 1970, the family moved to Toronto where he worked in the restaurant industry.

George was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a quiet, gentle, thoughtful man and very proud of his family's accomplishments.

George's life philosophy was moderation in everything; he was content with fulfilling his needs and paid very little attention to wants. "Humility is the greatest strength one can have" he always said. George developed a great network of friends that he conversed with over coffee at McDonald's where he got the seniors discount.

George was loved by all his friends because of the person he was. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted with Jerrett funeral home, Scarborough chaple.
