Boggles LefaBOGLES, Lefa   -  It is with profound sadness that the family of Lefa Bogles announces her passing on August 14, 2021, after a brief illness.

Lefa was predeceased by her beloved parents Petros and Stefana, brother Michael, Uncle Ilias Kellesis, Nina Flora Bogles, Teta Fana Raikou, and best friend Sheila Tuite, all of whom she was eager to meet again.

She was the devoted mother to Bonnie Zaikos, and beloved sister to John, and sister-in-law Tula, and niece to Alex Bogles and Sotira Kellesis.

She was adored by her cousins Lisa, Dimo, Nick, Eva, and nieces Christine (Joe) Stefanie (Bill) Marianne (Ryan) Jenet, Kristina, Demetri and special nephew Peter.

She was also the cherished great-aunt to Michael (Anita) Natalie (Daniel), Christopher, Alexandra, Roman, Brooke, Lohla, Liame, Lucy and London and great-great-aunt to Luke, Elizabeth, Emily and Lily.

Lefa was separated from her parents and siblings at the age of 4 years during the Greek Civil War and was moved to live in an orphanage in Hungary.

Ten years later, she reunited with her brother John, and had her happiest childhood days with her Thea Sotira and Theo Ilias in Czechoslovakia.

She immigrated to Canada with John, reuniting with their parents and brother Michael. After a few years in Canada she married, had her beloved Bonnie and then lived life as a single working mother.

Lefa was a survivor and a very hard-working woman all her life.

A cornerstone of the family has gone, but our memories of her extraordinary love, kindness and faith will keep us propped up, just as she always did all the days we were blessed to have her.

Arrangements with Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel. Due to the restrictions still in place surrounding COVID-19, attendance at the visitation is limited.
