Handy MarcHANDY, Marc Lyon Matthew   - Marc Lyon Matthew Handy left this life on August 27, 2021 at his favourite time of day: sunset.

Over 76 years, his adventures took him from a childhood in Ottawa, formative years in Montreal, to raising his family in Mississauga, finally retiring in Milton after a fulfilling investment career.

Marc and Lynne met at Expo 67 in Montreal and married a year later in Australia.

They grew together, dancing, travelling, raising two sons Matt (Stacey) and Ben (Kate), and three grandchildren, Rachel, Evelyn and Samantha.

While family was important to him, everyone who knew Marc knew - he loved cars, preferably fast ones on and off the racetrack. He never drove in the fast lane.

Rather than speed, he chose to turn up the music and enjoy the view. Friends and family sought his counsel.

He was wise. He listened. He could make hard things easier, and impossible things possible. He never told anyone what to do. He asked questions that helped others find their own answers.

Deeply rooted in his faith, Marc always carried himself with a strong, distinguished presence and valued kind people who kept their word.

Your word matters. Treat people with respect. Listen. Question. Leave things better than you found them.

He never told us to do these things. He did these things.

Marc is survived by his brother and best friend Norman and his loving sister Elaine.

He has been reunited with his mother Lillian, father Edouard and sister Claudette.

A family celebration of life will take place in the future.

Instead of flowers, please donate to a charity important to you.
